A new type of water is about to fill the Shark Tank

September 25, 2017

Dayton-based startup Third Wave Water will appear on ABC’s Shark Tank on October 8 at the show’s new time, which is 9:00 pm.

Co-founders Taylor Minor and Charles Nick  recently received the good news from the show’s producers that they would, in fact, be featured in the new season’s second episode. Having completed the audition and filming several months ago, Charles and Taylor have been playing the waiting game to see whether or not Third Wave Water would actually make the final cut.

“The whole process was pretty lengthy,” Charles said. “We were actually very fortunate, though. We’ve heard stories of entrepreneurs who spend months on end completing the application process, get chosen to fly out to L.A. to pitch to the Sharks, but then don’t end up either getting a deal or being featured in an episode.”

Charles and Taylor flew out to L.A. to pitch to the Sharks in June immediately following Dayton Startup Week.

“It really was a whirlwind when we got there,” Charles recalled. “Taylor and I were practicing our pitch and tweaking our display for the set.”

“Thankfully, I wasn’t really nervous when it came time to give the pitch because they made assumptions and asked lots of questions, and Taylor and I were able to address all of their concerns.”

So did they get a deal?

You’ll have to wait and see!
