New accelerator launches in Cincy for minority-owned tech startups

April 20, 2017

Our neighbors to the south in StartupCincy recently announced a new addition to the group of tech accelerators currently operating in their ecosystem. Hillman Accelerator will focus on companies founded by underrepresented individuals in the tech industry and have stated that they are the “first and only full-time accelerator in the Midwest built specifically to attract and to accelerate venture-backable tech companies founded by women and ethnic minorities.”

According to their website, Hillman Accelerator will be accepting 5 companies into their first cohort. Companies chosen will receive up to $100K for business development and will participate in a 15-week program running from June 26- October 10. The programming will be housed in the historic National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

The deadline to apply is May 19, 2017.
