Submit your application for the

Activated Spaces Program

Looking for space to launch your new business? Outgrowing your home office? Activated Spaces may be the program for you.

A component of the Greater Dayton Downtown Plan, the program matches potential tenants with downtown Dayton property owners who have available first floor storefront space. The program is specifically designed to provide a short term, lower risk lease for an emerging business to validate their idea.

The project, which launched in 2011, has helped activate 24 shops, 13 of which are still open. They include local favorites such as Fronana, Catapault Creative, Hicks’ Barbershop, Mitosis, Twist Cupcakery, and Soccer Shots.

Selected applicants will work with the landlord of their space to negotiate a below market value rent, free marketing and promotions support, and access to in-kind or discounted professional services from project partners.

Think this opportunity could be for you? Applications are open and must be submitted by Friday, February 17th at 5PM.
