Early Risers brings startups and big companies together

July 29, 2016

Business leaders packed the conference room at The Entrepreneurs Center this morning for our first edition of Early Risers–a pitch-style event that aims to bridge the gap between big companies and local startups.

Three startups were each given 10 minutes and 7 power point slides to convey the unique qualities of their businesses and the innovative solutions their companies provided. At the end of each of their pitches, they asked the audience to help them with specific goals. The audience was then given 5 minutes to ask questions that helped them determine whether or not they might have any resources and/or connections that could help.

Attendees took the opportunity to mingle with our startups after the event to provide feedback and suggestions,  and to ask additional questions.

A big thanks to everyone who helped launch and support this new event: The Entrepreneurs Center, Downtown Dayton Partnership, & our coffee and doughnut sponsor County Corp!

And, of course, a job well done by our startups:

Jeff Graley of Mile Two

John Dekar of Desin

Sabitha Annisetti of Cubester

The next Early Risers is scheduled for August 24. For more details or to reserve your seat, click here.
