#StartupDayton’s Desin is heading to the IDEA Finals with Obi

Desin, one of our favorite Dayton startups, just announced that they will be advancing to the final round of judging for the Industrial Designers Society of America’s International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). Their robotic dining companion Obi is paving the way for a new life-enhancing dining experience for individuals who, due to a number of medical reasons, have been unable to feed themselves.
According to the IDEA website, the best of the best win IDEA and are recognized as shining examples of design excellence. Winning entries are displayed in design exhibits and publications throughout the year, receive worldwide recognition and are honored with a place in the permanent collection of The Henry Ford Museum.
