Black/Brown founders receive only 1% of VC investments but returns for those that did invest in diverse teams see above average returns yet the stigma still lives that to support minority is more a charitable cause that a good financial case. Even if they somehow raise funding, the services that exist are typically offered by providers who, because they typically aren’t of the same national heritage, are unable to relate to the founder’s unique needs. The business coaches, marketing specialist, accountants, lawyers all must be someone to whom the founder can connect. We’ve created brave space for that end-to-end support to occur, with qualitative consistency and quantitative scalability.

High quality business advice and training are provided to small businesses from certified Dayton SCORE mentors. These business services are provided in one-on-one meetings and workshops designed to meet the needs of start-up and existing small businesses.
