General Motors Global Head of Innovation will headline Day 2 of Dayton Startup Week

May 14, 2018

General Motors Global Head of Innovation in Mobility and Connected Services, Kurt Hoppe, will be headlining Day 2 of Dayton Startup Week, which is happening June 11-15 at the new Steam Plant event venue in downtown Dayton, and will use Future of Mobility examples spanning Connected Car, Urban Mobility, Electrification and Autonomous Vehicles in his discussion on building a world-class tech hub in the midwest. We’d also like to send a big shoutout to our headline partner Wright Brothers Institute!

Hoppe plans on sharing his insight regarding the future of tech development and how the Midwest is positioned to become the leader for the next wave of innovation. And as if that wasn’t cool enough, he plans to pose a challenge to event attendees with the winner having the potential to join GM’s innovation funnel!

What an AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!

Hoppe’s talk is one of over 60 unique events scheduled to take place over the course of Dayton Startup Week, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to build their own conference schedule based on their individual goals.

Unlike many other business conferences of this caliber, Dayton Startup Week is absolutely free to attend and includes unlimited educational sessions, food truck meals, and social events thanks to the financial and partnering support of The Entrepreneurs Center and Wright State Research Institute, as well as many other organizations.

A few other highlights of the week include a pitch competition with a cash prize, a startup resource fair, a panel featuring local companies that appeared on the popular television show Shark Tank, and a Dayton Dragons networking event.
